This is an inside look at my fly box for patterns associated with the last leg of the life cycle of Pacific Salmon.  These fly patterns have applications in Washington such as the North Puget Sound rivers for Bull Trout, Whitefish or Cutthroat as well as fishing in Alaska for Rainbow Trout and Dolly Varden.

Left Side

Row 1 (Top):  This row holds a couple of varieties of maggot patterns size (12-18).  One is just a standard maggot pattern tied a lot like a scud.  The other ones are a glow in the dark pattern that I came up with tha tis simply tied with glo in the dark flashabou wraped around th hook and coated with Loon Hard Head.

Row 2:  This row consists of deep water salmon egg patterns called Alaskan Deep Six Egg tied on a size 6 egg hook.

Row 3 and 4 (Bottom):  These rows consist of two tone cotton candy and two tone peachy pink color flesh flies tied in both articulated and normal varieties from size 2 - 10.

Right Side:

Row 1 (Top):  A variety of salmon egg patterns, mostly tied with craft store poom pooms.

Row 2:  Double egg sperm patterns size 6 and more egg patterns.

Row 3:  White Flesh flies size (2 - 10) and a couple of marabou flesh fly patterns size 6.  The white flesh flies do a good job of representing pieces of chum or other rotten salmon floating down stream.

Row 4 (Bottom):
White Bunny Leeches size (2 - 6) tied in both articulated and normal versions.  These flies can represent flesh, leeches or bait fish (likely whitefish) that are eating often by bull trout in streams.
