Size 6 or 8 Gamakatsu SL 11-3H or comparable hook. White 3/0 or 6/0. Silver or Pearl Tinsel wrapped. 3 to 5 strands of pearl flashabou or crystal flash. One to two wraps of fluorescent yellow hackle, follow by one or two wraps of fluorescent orange hackle. Alternatively golden pheasant is used instead of the orange hackle. Gold bead sized to match the hook. This is a great pattern for staging salmon, and produced a lot of chum for me last fall. It is also known for taking silvers in the estruaries. |
