Tying Steps (Click on Pictures for a bigger image): Step 1:  Put the bead on and optionally wrap lead wire around the hook shank 6 - 9 times.  If you choose to use lead, start the thread just behind the lead wire and build a thread ramp up to the wire.  Then use the thread to secure the wire in place. Step 2:  Get two opposing brown goose boits and tie them in so that they are about a 1/2 of the shank in length. Step 3:   Next tie in the red floss for the body and a strand of peacock herl for the rib. Step 4:  Wrap the floss forward forming a body and tie it off at the 80% point from the bend of the hook.  Then wrap the peacock herl forward forming a rib. Step 5: Tie in a brown hen soft hackle feather in front of the floss body and wrap it forward two time then tie it off. Step 6:  Tie in one or two piece of peacock herl in front of the hackle collar and wrap them forward a few times and tie them off just behind the bead. Step 7:  Whip finish and head cement the fly.
