Me and my RIS rabbit ~ Clementine
Hi ~my name is Stephen Sloan. I am 11 years old and live in Sheridan, Michigan.
I am involved in 4-H and in raising my rabbits. I maintain a small herd of only around
10 mini lops so that quality is the highest priority to my project. I breed for
as close to the ARBA standard that I possibly can.
This was only my third year so far in 4-H but I can say I placed
second in showmanship for my age class as well as getting
reserve champion in show overall for my county show. I feel that
4-H is a wonderful experience for any kid to be involved in being
it teaches responsibility as well as that hard work and dedication
pays off in whatever that one might do. Next year I am looking at expanding
into baby-doll sheep and bantam cochin chickens as part of my
4-H experience, so it should be an exciting year!
It will also be a busy year with community projects such as raking leave/shoveling
snow for shut-ins that are unable to do it themselves, collecting pennies (change) for the
Paws with a Cause Organization- my personal project (if anyone would
like to donate to a wonderful cause please get a hold of me
at fuzzykritters@yahoo.com), collecting
comfort kits items for the red cross and that's just to list a few things.
