A Therapeutic (and practical) Activity!

Vegetable gardening is easy, fun, and tasty!  You can grow great tomatoes in pots on your balcony or deck.   You can grow fresh herbs in your kitchen window sill!  If you have the room, you can grow enough vegetables to supply your neighborhood!

I work a 65' X 65' plot every year and find that even though I plan to only plant what we can eat fresh, I always overplant!  It's hard to plant just enough for our family of 3, and I use about a third to half of my garden space for crops that need a lot of room (corn, vine crops, etc.).  When the corn comes on, I can eat 3-4 ears at a sitting, it's that good!  I never buy corn at the store and hate to buy any produce there because the quality just doesn't even come close to what I can produce in my back "yard".

Of course, I do have to share with some of the "neighbors"!
