This design is meant to capture many elements from the past of the NBA's Houston Rockets and tie them nicely into a clean modern design. The color scheme comes directly from their past when they had a red and yellow scheme. Black was added in for more contrast. The script font is based very much on the Rockets early '90s script, but updated slightly. That same early '90s logo featured yellow basketball, something this new design encorporates. The last major element to the design is the cartoonish rocket. Many of their past logos had a cartoonish theme. |
