Upon leaving the USA due to job
requirements, I made the decision of leaving my 1989 240SX in storage
for three years. I seriously debated within myself about the
repercussions of such tasking. My other option was to sell the car and
save me the hassle of dealing with a unserviceable vehicle after returning
from station. My comrades thought I was delusional, I didn't know of
anybody that tried this length of storage time before. This a detailed
log of the steps that were taken to protect and maintain the operational
status of the vehicle. In the end, the operation was a success.
My 240SX came out of the storage facility in optimal shape fully
operational. I wish I had more pictures, but information is worth a
thousand words in this case. So listen up, troops!: Be safe when using
the tutorials or any of the information presented here. I will not be liable
for any smashed thumbs or missing limbs. Seek supervision and
assistance if needed. I will like to commend everybody in the many
Nissan forums that offered their training and tactical awareness in the
proper preparation and steps to ensure a successful outcome in this
exercise.
This is my story...
