Title: McKnight family Bible records, ca. 1787-1950
Family bible found in Chatham, Mass. "Bible of Florence McKnight, born 20 June 1871, baptized 10 May 1873 by S.G. Buckingham of the South Church, Springfield, Massachusetts."
Contents: Charles McKnight (1787-1860) married Almira Clapp in 1821. They had ten children, 1824-1844. Their son, John Dwight McKnight (1834-1890), married Mary Elizabeth Hubbard, daughter of Hiram William Hubbard(1815-1881)in 1864. they had five children, 1866-1880. Florence McKnight (1871-1950), daughter of James Dwight and Mary Elizabeth Hubbard McKnight, married Frank Livermore Pierce(d.1922) in 1897. She married 2)James Edgar in 1926 at Providence, Rhode Island.

Contents: Family history and genealogical information about the descendants of Harrison McKnight and Myrtle Parker. Harrison was born 11 February 1889 in Cedar City, Utah. He was the second child and first son born to William Howell McKnight and Sarah Vilate Dalton. Myrtle was born 10 May 1891 in Joseph, Utah. She was the fifth child born to Joseph William Parker and Margaret Jane Neel. Harrison McKnight married Myrtle Parker 20 November 1913 in Manti, Sanpete Co, Utah. They lived in Bingham Co, Idaho and were the parents of four sons and three daughters. Descendants lived primarily in Utah, Idaho, California and elsewhere.

Contents: John McKnight was born ca 1730 in Northern Ireland. He married Margaret (probably surnamed McClellan) prior to 1752 in Ireland. In the fall of 1772, John and his family began their immigration to America. They arrived in Charleston, South Carolina 22 December 1772 and by the year 1784 they moved to York Co., South Carolina. John and Margaret were the parents of eight known children. John died in 1788. Descendants lived primarily in South Carolina, Alabama, Texas and elsewhere.

Contents: James McKnight (1830-1908) was born in Kirkonnel, Scotland, a son of Robert McKnight and Helen Ritchie. He immigrated to Australia in 1848, and joined the LDS Church in 1851. He married Sarah Howell in 1855, and they emigrated to Utah that year. They had eleven children.

Contents: Andrew "Andy" McKnight was born between 1780 and 1785 in South Carolina, probably Laurens County. He and his wife, perhaps Elizabeth Nesbitt, had ten children, ca. 1803-ca. 1826. The family was living in Fayette County, Alabama, by 1830 and Winston County (now Choctaw County) Mississippi, by 1835. He died between 1843-1849 in Winston county. Descendants lived in Mississippi, Texas, Louisiana, and elsewhere.

Sarah Vilate Dalton (1866-1928) was born at Fillmore, Utah, the daughter of Charles Wakeman(Wayman) and sarah Jane Lee Dalton. they were married in 1884 at Minersville. They had eleven children, 1886-1912, born at Beaver, Cedar City, Minersville, and Manila, Utah, and Menan and Moreland, Idaho. They both died at Moreland, Idaho. Descendants lived in Idaho, Utah, California, and elsewhere.
Includes Woolsey, Lee and Dalton ancestry.
