Another news letter update!  The Prez Says;

 

 Meeting was held at Grizzly's Thursday evening March 6th -08. 14 members in attendance

Including my wife Bea. She ate lunch with us guy's and listen to some car stories, and was

gone! I don't know what happened? Maybe she heard enough ! Oh I know, throw in a few deer 

pictures that Kevin Thicke was sharing and she probably thought we weren't going to

get anything done...  JUST kidding of coase. We all had a good meal and great time.

Oh Al Belling shared some photo's of  some old race car's. You know (back in the day's).

From his and Annette's trip to Floida this past month.

 

 Good news!  Two new members.Herb Long and Dave Osley.  Herb has a 65 Mustang and

Dave a 1950 Mercury, Juuust got to have a Merrrcury,YOU KNOW... Welcome to the club,

  Up date on the Lincoln car club that was going to come down from  the Twin City's area.

 I talk to Mr. Bob Johnson from Burnsville Mn.. They were going to cruise down in August

to Dahlautomotive in Onalaska. Well sad to say that it's been canceled for this year.

To many thing's happening in one summer. But Bob Johnson extended an invitaion to 

their convention up in Duluth Mn. June 26th-29th. For more information, web site

  Our club will sponsor a cruise nite at Rudy's Drive In Sept. 9th That's the week the

Great River Rendezous is in town Like 800 to 900 car's. All pre 1942 automobile's.

Let's work on this, with that many car's in town , some you would think   would enjoy

a short drive for some dog and sud's and view our fine classic's. I can see it now  , me

driving the 1923 model T Depot Hack ,with a sign reading RUDY'S or BUST! Around town.

 

 Other New's   The club voted down to help God's Country Racing Assn. with sponsoring

trophy class. We felt that was too much money, 150 dollars and we don't have that deep of 

pocket's--yet. Maybe down the road.  Great Club G.C.R.A.

 Other new's  Our roster number's are growing, my records show about 42 members. I have

22 members paid up . A lot of members have not paid. Don't  Panic ! It's not your fault.

We are just getting organized, and are dues have been lowered to 12 Dollar's a year!

 What a deal! But you can pay more If you feel BETTER about it. SEND a check or cash

  Our next meeting be April 3rd at Dahlautomotive La Crosse. 711 so. 3rd Lax . At a 

slightly later time, like 6:30p.m.  We we'll have lunch first pizza and pop, furnished by the

car club. You are welcome to bring your own BEER!  We will get a chance to tour the 

NEW DAHL QUICK LUBE addition...  If it's really nice out, bring your classic car out!

Also at the next meeting we'll talk about our car club name change  A New IDENTITY.

 Maybe a new logo too. Let's have some in put!

  Last, but not least is the up coming car show!  It's March and it's SHOW TIME!

 God's Country Racing Assn. Invite's everyone to their show, March 14th-16th.

Model T Depot Hack. The Hack will be just on display, Because it's Very hard to judge

a car or truck that's all in piece's. But I thought it would be fun to show it with the motor

and transmission all apart, the internal parts. SEE YA THERE!

 One last item May's meeting will be on the First of May at Al Belling's in West Salem.

Too many parking tickets:

  I went to the deli the other day, I was only in there for five minutes,but when I came out there 

was a traffice cop writing a parking ticket. So I went up to him and said, "Come on 

copper, I was onlyin there five minutes! He ignored me and continued writing the ticket.

So I called hima "pencil-neckwimp." He glared at me and started writing another ticket

for bald tire's! So I called him a "bird brain." He finished the second ticket and put it on the

car with the first. Then he started writing a third ticket. This went on for about15 minutes.

The more I abuse him the more he wrote.    I DIDN'T CARE,My car was park 

around the corner!
