Next Meeting

CLUB PICNIC, SAT, JULY 29TH, 1:00 PM

Paul and Mary Thicke are hosting the annual club picnic at their summer home outside of LaCrescent.  WWFM will supply brats and hot dogs.  Please bring a dish to pass and your drinks.

Directions:

Starting from the Cass Street Bridge, when you get to La Crescent turn right on Hwy 14-61 which goes towards Winona.  Get into the Left lane and after approximately .5 mile turn left and go by the Kwik Trip gas station.

This is North Fourth St.  Go to the second stop sign and turn right on North Elm St. which is also called Scenic Drive or Apple Blossom Drive.

This road becomes Winona 1 County Road.  After approximately 5.5 miles from Kwik Trip there will be a sign that says New Hartford 1 Township Road.  It also says Lanes Valley Road.  This is located on a curve in the road so it can be missed.

Turn left on this road and go one mile down the hill and into the valley. The last mile is a gravel road. We are located at the third place on the right side of the road.  Another way is to go past the Pine Creek Golf Course and follow the road up the valley for about three miles.  There are about 2 miles of gravel road when traveling in this direction.

If you need further directions our phone number over there is (507) 895- 3921.

Bring your spouse or friend.  Kids are also welcome.  If it is possible, bring your collector car and any other Ford nuts and their cars.

If anyone wants to camp overnight, water and electrical hookups will be available.  We could maybe even do some snipe hunting later.  :o))

Our last event was just two weeks ago.  Nine cars lined up Sunday morning at Bridgeview Plaza and cruised up Hwy 54 to Black River Falls., led by Don Strittmater.  The forecast was for a very hot and sticky day, but it turned out to be a very nice cruising day.  We filled our bellies at the Skyline golf course and then drove over to tour a train of very old coach and flat cars attached to a 1906 Baldwin steam engine at the Hoffman Construction Co...  Then it was off to Scorpion Supply Co...  Mark and Kimberly Anderson have a wealth of fasteners and few of our members took advantage, picking up some of those had to find items.
