God

God is the creator of the world/universe. He has eternally existed and has over the centuries made Himself known in three distinct ways: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. God is characterized by love, holiness, grace, and justice. See Genesis 1:1-27; Psalm 90:2; Psalm 8:3-6; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14

Jesus

We believe and teach that Jesus is the only Son of God, sent as Savior of and to the world. We believe in His deity, virgin birth, sinless life, miracles and atoning death on the cross. We believe He rose from the grave and ascended to heaven and will one day return to take us home. See Matthew 1:22-23; Isaiah 9:6; John 1:1-5 & 14:10-30; Hebrews 4:14-15; Acts 1:9-11; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Romans 1:3-4; 1 Timothy 6:14-15; Titus 2:13

Holy Spirit

We believe in the ongoing ministry of the Holy Spirit in the life of the Christian and the church; that He comforts and guides, equips and enables for life and ministry. We believe He operates through the Word of God to convert the unsaved and empower the saved, seeking to bring us into Christ-likeness. See 2 Corinthians 3:17; John 16:7-13; Acts 1:8; Ephesians 1:13 &5:17-18

Man

We believe that as human beings we are created in the image of God. However, we also believe that "all have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God." Sin, in essence, is missing God's mark, His will and way for our lives. Sin is disobedience to God's commands. See Genesis 1:27; Genesis 3:22; Isaiah 53:6 & 59:1-2; Romans 3:23 & 6:23

Salvation

We believe that salvation is God's free gift to us, but we must receive it. We can never make up for our sin by self-improvement or good works. Salvation comes only through faith in the person and redeeming work of Jesus. It comes to us by God's grace. The process of salvation involves believing in Jesus as Savior, repenting of one's sins, confessing Jesus as Lord, being immersed (baptized) into Christ for the forgiveness of sins and gift of the Holy Spirit, and living a life characterized by His Lordship - obedience to His commands. See Romans 6:4, 23 & 5:1; Ephesians 2:8-9; John 1:12 &14:6; Galatians 3:26-27; Titus 3:5; Acts 2:38

The Bible

We believe that the Bible, both the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, inerrant Word of God. It is the final authority for faith and life. The Bible reveals the heart and mind of God to us. It also judges the thoughts and intentions of our hearts. It is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness. See Psalm 199:11 &105; 1 Thessalonians 2:13; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21
