Library News

 Our church Librarian, Ernestine Dunstan has added new books in two locations every month to the tables with signs on them. One is near the fellowship hall in Narthex and other one is in hall leading to the church office.

She is trying to showcase the different types of music, books, and reference materials that our church library has. We hope people will feel free to check out things on the table or of course visit the library which is inside the church office. If you have suggestions of other materials we might purchase, please drop a note for her in the basket on office door.

New books in fiction area are available for check out now.

In the near future Ernestine will be reviewing children’s books—some of which need to be discarded, others need replacing.  This is a well used section that has gotten a little worn looking. Also, she is going to weed out some of the video material so we have more room.  If you might have some books, or videos ready for this section—please let her know.  Sometimes children out grow their current favorites, but they might be just right for others to use.
 

Parents: Connie Neal’s book  MY SPACE FOR MOMS AND DADS is being added to the library

This guide will help in the understanding of the risks and the rewards of social networking which is very popular with teenagers and young adults.  This book includes safety checklists for busy parents, things to ask your teenager about how they are using  the site, how to examine the sites, and lots of helpful advice—especially for those who are not familiar with these types of sites.
