WOW tops 2,000
More than 2,000 people from 150 churches gathered in Springfield, MO for the 2008 WOW Weekend January 19 and 20. This year the theme was “Drop the Act”, focusing on developing a real relationship with Christ, and getting real with one’s own faith.
Rachel Beck, Kim Grimes, Hannah Gudde and Shelby Reeder as well as Rev. Sandy Schaller and Mary Ann Sander were among those attending this exciting weekend. They traveled by charter bus with other Mid-State District youth and sponsors. They spent the night with about 200 others at Grace United Methodist Church with sleeping bags everywhere you can imagine. They attended the concert at Schweitzer UMC that was held after WOW before they returned home. It was a great weekend!
