New Cross on Church lawn
Five of our United Methodist Men devoted over sixty man-hours to constructing and erecting a Cross and Flame symbol at the Tarr Street entrance to our Church. The cross is eight feet tall and both cross and flame are illuminated with miniature lights.

The inspiration for this project came from Lay Leader Floyd Gudde. The cross is one that Floyd had made several years ago. Charlie Popeck constructed the flame portion of the symbol. Don Bobbitt installed the foundation for the symbol. Keith Davis, Bob Green along with Floyd and Charlie assembled the symbol and erected it near the Tarr Street entrance to our property.

While originally conceived as a Christmas display, the symbol looks good enough to leave up all year round.
