è     URBAN & RURAL SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS
The Urban and Rural Sunday School Class of young adults is reorganizing for 2008. The focus will be everyday living and relating to being a Christian in today’s world. Some of the topics to be discussed each week will be:

      -  Developing a personal relationship with Christ
        -
Family relationships
        -
Parenting and raising good kids in today’s world
        -
Stress and social pressures
        -  Time and financial management as well as current events

Keith & Sandy Schnarre have volunteered to lead this class. The topic suggestions and input will come from those attending the class. Resource information will include video, audio, books, the Bible, the Internet and music.

You can join this group Sunday mornings from 9:30-10:30 a.m. for a time of fellowship and learning. A nursery is provided and children’s Sunday School, from preschool to high school, is available. The Urban & Rural classroom is down the education hall past the church office, first door on the left.

Exercise!!! Exercise!!!

The Exercise Sessions" have begun and are in full swing!!  Everyone is welcome to join in at any time.

The walking exercise class meets on Tuesday evening at 6:00 and Thursday evenings at 7:00 p.m.  This is a 3-mile video participation walk-in-place and other movements.  You do not need to do the whole session, just build up gradually.  Exercise clothing, good shoes, a towel, and a bottle of water are all that's necessary.

The Monday and Wednesday morning sessions begin at 9:00 a.m. and are less strenuous than the evening sessions.  These are low-impact exercises and some are done sitting in a chair.  Again, you do not need to do the whole session, just build up gradually.

Both groups are "Fun" and good fellowship is shared by all.  These sessions will continue until spring 2008.  Come and join the fun!!!

Angel Food Ministries

Angel Food Ministries is a non-profit, non-denominational organization that works through churches and community organizations.
It began in 1994 with 34 families in Monroe, Georgia – now over 500,000 families in 32 states participate.

In Columbia the Fairview United Methodist Church is a host for Angel Food Ministries and in Centralia the New Beginnings Christian Center is in the process of becoming a host.  New Beginnings is currently picking up from the truck that delivers to Hallsville.

We have been asked by both churches to help promote this program.  We have heard from Anna Herring as well as others that the food is very good and of good quality.  The deadline for receiving a food unit for July is actually June 29 but folks are encouraged to check out the information on the bulletin board in the hallway of our church to get information for following months. For example the food units requested and paid for on June 29 will be distributed on July 14.  Base food units cost $25 with a value of $42 to $78.  They are available to anyone - No Income Restrictions.

Please help spread the word!   An order form can be received by internet by sending an e-mail to angelfoodnbcc@mywdo.com.  You may check the information on the bulletin board here at church or call the church office 682-3434 for more information.
