In 1998 the Millbrook Press published Faith Brynie’s book 101 Questions Your Brain Has Asked About Itself But Couldn't Answer . . . Until Now. It was the first volume in what became, over the next decade, a ten-volume series that's found a place in public and high school libraries throughout the United States and all over the world. The series explores the structures and functions of the human body with titles on skin, the immune system, food and digestion, blood and circulation, sex, reproduction, sleep and dreams, and muscles. The last book in the series is a revised and updated (2008) edition of the original book on the brain.

Most of the books were published under the Twenty-First Century Books imprint, which was acquired by Lerner Publishing Company of Minneapolis in 2005. The books of the 101 Questions . . . series are available from Lerner and other major book sellers.
