New this year!!! Skating technique clinic the following day on Sunday, January 6, 2008 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The fee for the skating technique clinic is $15 — participation is limited to the first 30 registrants

Registration -- you have three options:
1) Register by completing registration form and mailing the completed form (along with your entry fee) postmarked by Dec. 29, 2007 to:

2) Use your credit card to Register Online up until 8 a.m. the day prior to the race
3) Race Day Registration & Pick Up Your Bibs starting at 8:00 a.m. at the warming house at the EastSide trailhead of the Blue Hills Trail
     · registration for the 2k race ends at 9:15 a.m.
     · registration for the 12k race ends at 11:30 a.m.
     · registration for the 8k race ends at 11:45 a.m.

We would prefer to avoid the hassles associated with same-day registration, and strongly encourage you to pre-register. This worked well for skiers & organizers alike in the past. Please pay attention to the following:
1) Adults that have pre-registered can request wave seeding for the 12K freestyle race (10 racers per wave) by providing a recent Birkie result as part of their registration. If registering the day of the race, expect to be placed in the later waves. High school (youth) participants will start after all the adult racers have started, and will be placed in waves in order of registration.
2) High school coaches are encouraged to review the options of online registration vs. submitting their registrations as a batch mailing.
3) We can no longer offer a refund if the race is canceled. Our fixed expenses still need to be covered if we expect to offer a race each year. We will do everything in our power to host the race, but will not race if conditions are unsafe.

ONLINE REGISTRATION ENDS 8 A.M. FRIDAY, JANUARY 4^th. NO EXCEPTIONS!

Awards:

2K Classic Sprint offers graduated cash prizes for 1st, 2nd, & 3rd
(for example, if 100 racers enter, 1st place = $800, 2nd place = $500, 3rd place = $300)
Freestyle 12K race provides awards for overall placement as well as age groups
Freestyle 8K race provides awards for overall placement as well as high school teams
Goody bags for all the entrants in the 2K Classic Sprint, and for the first 100 entries in the 12km/8km race
