Story of the Herd when boarding:

When I was boarding and had just the three horses, the people I boarded

with decided to put my already in tact herd directly into their herd.

They thought that because Ali was little he would not be a threat

to their herd boss. Well, Mah Haretta, Ali Aamah, and Sierra Ibn Blacky

marched down to meet the herd boss

with Mah Haretta making faces that would drop a warrior in their tracks,

and Blacky running circles around Mah Haretta and Ali,

I presume to protect them and maybe illustrate that they were a herd.

Ali Aamah marched straight to the herd boss and took him down

with my then 89-year-old mother cheering him on.

I can still hear my mother yelling, "GET HIM ALI!!"

Needless to say we were kicked out.

Moral of the story:

Never put an intact herd in with another herd.

Moral 2:

Don't underestimate the power of a small horse with great breeding!!
