The Port Aransas Beach Bums
have always been intrigued by the cultures of Egypt, both ancient and modern.
Where better to find out more about this than "Egypt's Culture Net"?

This funeral procession from "The Book of the Dead" is a part of a papyrus
presented at the virtual Egyptian Museum.
Unfortunately the LINK to the site failed somewhere along the way and we offer this LINKinstead.
You can find out more about the various inscriptions of "The Book of the Dead" by referring to
the descriptions and translations of the hieroglyphics by Sir Earnest Alfred Wallis Budge.
His many 1890's publications are still fascinating.

While you're at "Egypt's Culture Net" be sure to visit the web pages of
"The Museum of Mohamed Mahmoud Khalil and His Wife"
to see some of the most important representations
of the paintings of Europe in the second half of the 19th century.

The images of "King Tut's" "Pectoral Jewelry" and "Mask" and the "Papyrus" above are all excerpted
from
the pages of the virtual Egyptian Museum (Another broken link!) and are believed to be the property and creation of that fine web-site.
