Each nine weeks, each chemistry student must read a science article and write a summary. The article may come from a magazine, a newspaper, or the Internet. The summary must be from 1/2 page to 1 page in length. Points will be deducted if your summary is too long or too short. You must attach a copy of the article to your summary. Your source must be documented. You are to write your documentation on the top two or three lines of the page, skip two lines, and then begin your article summary. The format for documenting your source is below. Follow the format exactly, or points will be deducted.

Since the article summary is assigned at the first of the nine weeks, it is due the Friday before the end of the nine weeks whether you are present or not.  The summary may be turned in early, but twenty percent will be deducted for each day it is late.
