On the first of July some friends and I were having a meeting in a club house we built in the woods. It was getting very cloudy and very calm.

Suddenly a crash of thunder in the distance made everybody jump. Then it started to rain and the lightning started to flash. We were all scared.

I had and idea. It was to go to the neighbor's house across the road, since it was closer than our houses. So we all ran to the neighbor's house. We saw their cat meowing to be let in so we started to knock loudly. Mrs. Cherry opened the door for us.
Then we called our families.

We felt happy because we were safe.
