Anna and Mrs. Brown
by Chaila Grace Wiseman - age 7
Once upon a time there was an old house. In that old house lived an old lady. The old lady's name was Mrs. Brown. Mrs. Brown was a nice old lady. Mrs. Brown always wore her blue denim dress. It was a nice dress. Mrs. Brown lived on Summer Street. Everyone was kind to Mrs. Brown. Mrs. Brown especially loved a little girl named Anna. Anna was very kind also. Sometimes Anna would bring flowers to Mrs. Brown. One day Anna brought Mrs. Brown some roses. Mrs. Brown said, "Thank you, Anna." Anna said, "Would you like to come to my house and have cookies and lemonade?" Mrs. Brown said, "I'd love to, Anna. But first I have to put these pretty roses in a pot of water." After Mrs. Brown put her flowers in a; pot, she said, "Come, Anna. Let's go." So Anna and Mrs. Brown were on their way. When Anna and Mrs. Brown got there Anna's mother Jeddele was on the porch waiting. Jeddele said, "Welcome!" Mrs. Brown replied, "Hello." Then they both went up the stairs onto the porch. Jeddele said, "Do you want to have cookies and lemonade with me and Anna?" Mrs. Brown replied, "Yes, and than you very much." So Anna and Mrs. Brown and Jeddele sat down to eat cookies and lemonade. When they were done Mrs. Brown said, "Thank you. That was delicious." Jeddele said, "Why thank you and feel free to come over any time." "And with that I must be on my way now," said Mrs. Brown. Jeddele said, "Anna, please walk Mrs. Brown home." Anna said, "Yes, Mommy." On their way home they saw a butterfly that was red, yellow, and blue. Anna and Mrs. Brown both stopped to watch the butterfly suck some nectar from a flower and fly into the trees. "That was a beautiful butterfly." "Yes," said Mrs. Brown. When they reached Mrs. Brown's house Anna said, "I have to go now." So they hugged and said goodbye to each other.
