JAN. 2003
Hi everyone:
I know, I know... we've been really bad at keeping this page updated, but our New Year's resolution is to break that trend!!!
We had a wonderful Christmas together. It was wonderful to be off together. We'll have to do it every year now. Our tree is still up until Gray's birthday, on Jan. 13. It seems to be a tradition now. It's too bad a picture of the tree doesn't do its 16 feet any justice. We enjoyed talking with everyone at Christmas, too.
We finally had snow Dec. 28th, and the usual rain and ice after that. If it would just make up its mind. New Year's was boring: Gene worked NY Eve, and I was in bed by 8 p.m. Getting old, I guess!
The first picture on our page is Gray, Gene and Gene's Mom, Carol, and Gene's stepdad, who is also named Gene. They were visiting us at the end of May, and we took a trip to Bigfork and Flathead Lake.
We also worked hard on the landscaping and yard. What a difference!!! We find it hard to believe that's how it looked the previous summer. Gene worked really hard to give us that finished look.
It was a pretty busy year for us. We spent most of it working outside. Lots of rock work, landscaping and firewood. Now that winter is here we are back in side working on the house again. Our big project now is the basement apartment. When the Bed & Breakfast gets going, we plan on living down there when the main bed rooms are rented out. Our goal is to have the B & B open this summer.
We'll keep this
short and try to update it more often.
Anne Marie,
Gene & Gray.
