The Inn is sometimes blessed by some very special groups who bring a glow of beauty to Aleck Bay. An example of this is found in Mrs. Patricia Rabb's art class.
Her students are able to relax at the Inn and become creative and extend their artistic talents. The family-like atmosphere provides the nourishment for this to take place.
Her class sets up their esils in the game room. Special lighting is provided to augment the natural day light and to allow the students to continue into the evening. Occasionally, some students will adjourn to the green house to capture the lighting there or set up in the conservatory for its view.
On their visits to Aleck Bay Inn they are always able to see more than the outward beauty of the surrounding nature.
Mrs. Rabb's talents are passed on to her students and to us in the form of magnificently painted portraits, land scapes and abstract art. Her paintings not only capture the "moment", but also capture the emotional feeling so necessary for a painting to be able to communicate to their viewers.
The paintings shown here are a perfect example of this expression of emotional communication. If it's a portrait, abstract, landscape, or other art form, Mrs. Rabb is also capable teaching her students what she does so well.
In addition, special class projects are developed by Mrs. Rabb to stimulate the creativity, and yet to learn from others . This painting was a joint class project which clearly provided the teaching media for enhancing the learning process of perspectives and techniques in order to elevate the impact of the art on the viewer.
