Thank you for stopping by, my little chunk of Cyber Space.

After high school I went to a technical school in St. Louis where I learned electronics and computer repair.  Although now many years later I have a nice job I wish that I had went to at least a Junior College and obtained an associates degree.  After the Technical School I had a short stint in the copier industry and found that wasn't for me.  After several months of unemployment, I began as a Dispatcher for the Potosi Police Department.  This was to only be a short term job to help pay the bills which turned into a 14 year career in Law Enforcement.  When I gave up police work full-time I held the rank of Lieutenant, after leaving full-time in 1997 I switched from the Potosi Police Department to the Washington County Sheriff's Department and then back to the Potosi Police Department as a Reserve Sergeant.  I am currently employed with the Potosi R-3 School District where I hold the title of Technology Director, which basically means I perform repair and maintenance on the district computer systems and networks.

In 1994, due to influences of N0VOJ and KA0ITI I studied for my Technician no code test and passed and became KB0LZP and kept that call until I became an Extra Class Operator.  I own and operate a repeater here in Potosi 146.715, and enjoy my time on HF, where I normally operate 160, 80, 40 and 20 meter bands.  On most nights you can find me on 1.962 talking with a good group of guys.  I enjoy helping my friends with all kinds of projects from antennas, computers, web pages, networking and much more.
