Fall Ride
|
|
Due to very low
temperatures, we meet with the Chill chapter in 4-wheeled vehicles at
Gramma's Cafe in Arena. Good food and good camaraderie!

Harvest Ride
|
|
Eleven members and
one guest enjoyed a beautiful ride from Oconomowoc to Lake Geneva. The
weather was perfect while we rode three different rustic roads. We
enjoyed a good lunch and camaraderie at Popeye's, then made room for
ice cream at Gus's at East Troy. Donna's son Ryan took time from his
morning to take pictures of the group before we left Wisconsin Harley

Country Ride

We were joined by 11 sisters from Illinois for
our country ride. We enjoyed a beautiful day, a scenic ride, a good
lunch in Mt Horeb and visited the very last Mustard Festival in Mt
Horeb as the mustard museum is slated to be moved to Middleton. Photo

Harley Davidson Museum and Ride with WOW

There were 23
members who visited the Harley Davidson museum. These members were from
Missouri, Iowa, Illinois and Wisconsin. A heavy rain storm accompanied
us while driving to the museum, but cleared up by the time the scenic
ride began after lunch. It was great to meet sisters from so many
states plus visit and ride with them. Photo

WOW Int'l Ride-In - Kerrville, Texas

The event drew 200 WOW members from across the
U.S. There were five members there from WI. We visited Luckenbach, TX,
where several ladies rode the mechanical bull while others had photos
astride a Texas Long-Horn. We had a great time singing Karaoke
one evening. There was much great entertainment at the opening
ceremonies. A good time was had by all.

State Wide Luncheon - Wild Rose |

We had a great turn out of over 30 members who
got together in Wild Rose for lunch at the Pioneer Pub. There wasn't
any rain so many rode to and on a Rustic road on the way home. Great
day, Great Riding, Great fun! Photo |

Mid-West Gathering |

The gathering in East Peoria brought together
over 45 WOW people from IL, IA, WI and IN. We enjoyed the camaraderie,
the scenery and the location. The weather even cooperated as we had
sprinkles and wet roads for only the first 60 miles on the way home. Photo |

Northwoods Cruisers Sturgis event |
| |
When we gathered at the Hartford Harley Davidson
dealer we numbered 16 which included two members from the C.H.I.L.L
chapter from Richland Center. When we met the Northwoods Cruisers in
Kewaskum, we then numbered 22. We proceeded to Mr Soup's house from
Kewaskum and had a delicious meal.

Spring Ride |

Ten members met in cars and proceded to Rockdale
for a fun lunch. Yes, it rained a lot and hard; so we talked about the
riding some got to do the previous day in 87 degrees. |

Winter Fun Day |

The Harley Davidson Museum tour with a group of
34 WOW members along with support members and guests was a big hit! The
history of motorcycling through the ages was quite fascinating. Some
members say they want to go back through and spend more time reading
all the memorabilia and listen to the videos. After the tour, I believe
everyone joined us at Botanas Mexican Restaurant for lunch and much
discussion and excitement about the upcoming riding season. Photo |

Chicago Motorcycle Show |

We had another successful year in promoting women
and motorcycling at the bike show in Chicago . Thirty-one ladies signed
the Wisconsin information sheets at the show wanting to know more about
Women on Wheels® and one has already sent in her membership
application. Our members worked in the WOW booth as well as the WMF
booth for AMA Women's Motorcycle Conference and the "Women's Counter at
the Welcome Center" directing ladies to the women's group booths. We
will follow up with the prospects who listed their names for more info.

Museum - Odd Wisconsin Exhibit |

Fourteen members met at the Avenue Bar for lunch
and some great conversation and a brief meeting. Then nine members
visitied the four floors of the museum documenting Wisconsin 's history
from prehistoric times to the present. The display of odd & unusual
was pretty neat. Photo |

The weather reduced our attendance at this winter
luncheon. Ten members attended. Some of us ate small lunches so we
