Lynn Ketchum

For many years I had been a passenger on a bike and then one day I decided it was time to be the driver................so off to MATC to take the motorcycle safety course, and of course, I fell in love with motorcycling. Even after I tried running the instructor over the first night on the bikes! That was Aug 01 and in Oct 01, I purchased my first bike and in Jan/Feb 02, I found WOW and I have been WOWed ever since.

There was a group of gals from the Madison area who took me under their wing and showed me the ropes (Karlette, Lynne, Chris, and Donna). We put on a lot of miles that summer, approx 5000.They showed me many things about riding, including map reading, how to get lost, how to get to lead a ride, and a lot of great places to eat at. We also did fair amount of bird watching – it pays to carry your binoculars and some good hiking shoes.

In the fall of 2002 I traded my first bike, a Suzuki Savage, I decided I needed something bigger...a pretty red Suzuki Intruder, and I'm still riding that one. I'm thinking about moving up again, just can't make up my mind on which bike I want. I've ridden to 5 states so far and like many of you, all over WI and I still have lots of WI to see! The best part of joining WOW is the camaraderie. The hugs, the stories, the rides, the lunches, etc. it's the best! I am always amazed at how far we will ride to eat! I look forward to seeing you on the road.............ride safe!
