My name is Jeanne Fehr, and I joined Dairyland Originals in 2007.  I live in Milwaukee with my two adult children.  For the past 15 years I have been working as a business manager for Milwaukee’s community and public access cable TV channels.

When I was in my mid-50’s, I decided that I wanted to learn to ride a motorcycle.  I had a little taste of riding when I was in my 20’s, but back then the bikes were kick started, and I never rode anywhere other than the parking lot of a local shopping center.  So 30+ years later, I took a beginner riders class, got my license and bought my first motorcycle – a 100th anniversary 2003 Harley Davidson Sportster 883.

For various reasons, I rode less than 200 miles that first season.  Living in the heart of the city, it was hard to get out anywhere to practice riding.  But mainly, I had no one to ride with.  Then someone suggested I find a riding group.  The next year I joined a local women’s motorcycle organization and a whole new world opened up to me.  I made many new friends who helped me to gain confidence in my riding abilities, and soon I had an endless number of riding opportunities.

I’ve come a long way since I bought my first bike.  This past season I rode over 8000 miles and took my first cross country trip. Martha (who introduced me to WOW) and I rode to Colorado for a VTX rally. It was an incredible experience.

I currently ride a Honda VTX 1300 which I acquired in 2006.  I look forward to many miles of riding with my new WOW friends.
