My name is Emma Jones and I’ve been a member of WOW since 1988. Kate Greenwood introduced me to WOW at a booth at a GWRRA campout near Rio. I think I waited a year before I actually joined.

My present bike is a Yamaha V-Star 1100. I rode as a passenger behind my husband Stan for 2 years and envied the ladies riding their own. With encouragement from Stan, I took the MSF motorcycle course at MATC in Madison and have been hooked ever since. When I first started riding, I thought I would only do short trips around Wisconsin and ride as passenger on longer trips. My second summer found me in Iowa at the Davis Rally on my 250 Honda Rebel.

Since then I have ridden in 38 states and been to many rallies. My favorite state is Colorado and the Rocky Mountains. The Smoky Mountains are a very close second. I really like the twisty windy mountain roads. My first solo ride was from Cheyenne, WY back to Wisconsin. It was very empowering.

WOW is like a second family to me. I have made great friends all over the state and the country.
