We Are

This website will chronicle our hobby of geocaching ,in and around northwest Wisconsin and some of our other favorite locations.

As we continue to travel and search for caches in more distant areas, we have found some really interesting places. Here are some links to some of our favorites.

1)Minnesota’s North Shore: From Duluth’s park point drive to the Canadian border, the north shore provides endless scenery and plenty of hiking with many caches stashed along the way. There are small Islands , remote hikes on the Superior Hiking trail as well as 7 State parks to explore.

The Minnesota State parks , have embraced GeoCaching over the last 2 years . They have actually created official state park caches with a wildlife theme. Caches are placed in all 72 parks with collectible cards in the final cache location. This was a lot of fun!

This year we ended our trip up north(east, depending on the way you look at it), with a special cache on top of Silver Creek Cliff . This was outstanding. Contact us if you consider this one, for a little advice.

2)Winona , MN: This is in southern Minnesota, along the river bluff country. There have to be more caches in this area than any other we have visited. The fall is especially nice here. Be sure to hike up to Sugarloaf.

3)The Blue Hills of Rusk Co. Wisconsin: This is a surprisingly remote and interesting area, not far from our home location. The ice age trail runs through this area as well as the Devils Creek, both are worth a trip to check out. The caches at Perch lake and Audie lake are very nice. Also, check out the Felsenmeer State nature area.

4) Cave Creek, AZ, was our first vacation taken …. Well since we have been married and had kids. Finally got on a plane and visited my sister and brother in-law. (They thought caching was interesting) Just a ton of caches and of course the weather and scenery were outstanding. So many areas you can drive to from here that are full of caches.

5) Michigan’s Upper Peninsula: We just returned from Munising, Mi. This is the home of Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. The area is full of caches ,several earthcaches  within the park itself. I really have to recommend : Paradise and Old Baldy, but there are many things to see and do. We enjoyed the fall colors and of course the lake, we are drawn to it no matter where we are. Duluth, Superior, Bayfield and now the UP.
