About Me
I was born in Santa Barbara and spent most of my life in Ojai, California. I always loved to write, especially writing letters to pen pals. At one time, I wrote to over one hundred people around the world. I also self-published three pen pal related newsletters during the 1990s. I began writing for children about five years ago after visiting Glacier National Park in Montana. A little mountain goat inspired me to write a story about him. I quickly fell in love with writing children's stories. My favorite pasttime is photography with nature and wildlife as my main interest. In 2006, we moved to Bigfork, Montana and we are less than an hour from Glacier National Park where my first children's story originated.
I'm married to Rick, whom I met in high school in 1981. We have four children -- Nichelle, Nicole, Nathan and Neil. We also have two cats -- Belle and Kitty. If I'm not writing or taking photographs, I'm probably being entertained by the crazy wildlife that frequents our mountain home.
