Patty
is 62. She
was born and raised in Seattle, and graduated from Ingraham High School
in 1964 and Western Washington State College in 1968. We met
and married at Western Washington State College.
She taught English as a Foreign Language in Turkey in the Peace Corps,
and taught elementary school in Camden, New Jersey, for five years. These days she is pretty much a
full time
homemaker. OK, she is also now a scrubstitute teacher, which pays
for a few fun things...
Patty
collects crab stuff! There is not a surface, horizontal or
vertical, inside or out, at Birch Bay on which there is room for much
more, but that does not deter her. Thanks to all our C-Brat friends who
keep an eye out for crabby stuff for her. She like the real things too,
but crabbing is not what it used to be, with highly restricted
seasons
and catch limits.
Patty thankfully enjoys crusing on
Daydream as much as I do, gets about 50% of the time at the helm, and
has taken the boat out by herself. For her, it is more about
the
destination than the journey. Her idea of heaven is a sundowner in the
cockpit swinging on the hook in Matia Cove listening to a Javier Van
Velthoven classical guitar CD. And she has been a good sport
humoring me about overnighting on Crabby Lou. Her goal is to
cruise the Sea of Cortes some day.
