I'm 62 years old, and was born in
Snoqualmie Falls, Washington, a former mill town that no longer exists.
I was raised in the Town of Snoqualmie, Washington. I now
live
in Fall City, Washington, with my wife Patty. We have three kids, Barrett, 30,
who
lives in Berlin, Germany, Lydia, 26, who lives in
Lakewood,
Colorado, and Austin, 17, who is still at home.
I graduated from Mount Si High School in 1964, and from
Western Washington State College in 1968. Patty and I got married in
1967 and joined the Peace Corps after graduating from Western. We
spent two years in Turkey teaching English as a Foreign Language as
Peace Corps volunteers.
After returning from Turkey, we landed in Moorestown,
New Jersey, where I
taught English as as Second Language in Camden for two years before
attending Rutgers Law School in Camden, New Jersey. After
graduation from Rutgers in 1975, we returned to the Snoqualmie
Valley, where I grew up. We
bought a house in Snoqualmie, but one day I got wanderlust, and we
moved
down to Fall City in 1979.
An attorney to earn a living, I am really a brewer at heart.
I have been the City Attorney of Snoqualmie, my home town, for 26
years. I opened a law office in March, 1995, after 19 years
practicing
with a firm in Issaquah, Washington. Like they say, keep on practicing
until you get it right! In January, 2005, I left the private practice
and became a full time employee of the City of Snoqualmie.
In 1996 I founded Snoqualmie Falls Brewing Company along with four
friends. I am Da Prez. In December 1997 we commenced brewing operations
in an old warehouse directly across the street from my law office. To
