Barrett is 30, and graduated from Mount Si High School in 1996 and Evergreen State College in Olympia in 2000. He moved to L.A. to become the next Steven Spielberg, but discovered they already had one. He did some production assistant work for a while (bringing Adam Sandler his script and coffee), but it was pretty clear that career track was going nowhere.  

He married Laurie Isola on Cinqo de Mayo 2007 on a bluff high over the Pacific in Stinson Beach - it was awesome.   Laurie is from the Bay Area, and is a journalist. In her spare time, she is "Diane Rott" on the Bay Area Derby (BAD) Girls rollerderby team. 

Barrett and Laurie moved to Berlin, Germany, in November 2008. It will be cool to go to Berlin to visit the grandchildren we hope to have before we die!
