OUR APPROACH
We seek to give back to our veterans by providing a “helping hand up” to begin the personal process of regaining self-esteem, hope, and the ability to re-enter the society to which they gave loyally and wholeheartedly, and from which many have withdrawn. We do this in the following ways.

  • Provide immediate relief from trauma and isolation. Veterans are brought together in a safe, secure area, with assurance that there is help available.

  • Provide access to short and long term resources, food, clothing, medical care, housing, employment and community resources.

  • Continual efforts to increase community awareness about veterans’ needs & our individual and collective obligations.

  • Develop long term solutions throughout the community, including transitional and permanent housing, drug and alcohol recovery, employment counseling and placement. Ultimately self-sufficiency, reentry and community validation is our goal.

Peer counseling, fellowship, or any other individual service a veteran might need or want is sought out and provided to them and their families.
OUR VETERANS
Veterans are a “unique” population wherein they will not ask for or expect help.

“Veterans helping veterans and communities” is abundantly seen on a daily basis at the pantry and during “stand downs”.

There is a saying that for every homeless veteran you see there are 10 in the “woods” you do not see. We find this to be true each and everyday.

If you need help or you know of a veteran who needs a “helping hand up” please contact us for information on any of our services.
