Our organic vegetable garden summer 2001.
The 2001 vegetable garden did not fair well due to major drought problems in the area. We have no complaints as we only grow vegetables to satisfy our own needs. However, for many commercial farmers in the area the drought during the summer and then later rain during harvest was devastating on both the corn and dry bean crops. It looks like only sugar beets offered much of a profit this year. Good hay seems also hard to come by this year for the same reason.
