What an excellent Spring. I've had two Best of Show awards! The most exciting thing to me personally, though, was the wonderful Heart of America Artists' Rendezvous that Todd Williams and me coordinated. It was the first large scale plein air event in Northwest Arkansas. 45 artists attended, and we sold a total of 10 paintings in the sale. A great time was had by all.

This will be an exciting Spring. Lots of artwork to come. Finding time won't be easy with a new art directing role at work, but CARPE DIEM. This is the year to work hard.

October 19, 2008------------
A very good friend invited me to stay with his family in beautiful Valle de Bravo, Mexico. It was an amazing cultural experience which I will be glad of the rest of my life. I spent a week painting and taking photos. In the artwork section you can view several of my plein air paintings.

The day after I left, the same friends found out their 3 year old son has Leukemia. They are taking it so well, but I know it has to be hard. The Lord bless you Jason and Lisa!
