The
Corvallis Elks Lodge is located at 1400 NW 9th St. on the corner
with Grant.
While
we will be using the Lodge, it will still be open to Members, so not everyone
you meet will necessarily be a Gamer.
The
Elks are very supportive of our convention however, and are working closely
with us to make this a success. The Elks want us to feel welcome; we in turn
need to respect them and their Lodge.
Space
is plentiful, there are a few rooms off limits, but they will be clearly marked
(weight room and sauna, and kitchen areas, for example).
There
is a kitchen/restaurant on site, it will be open and staffed the entire convention,
the available menu is being worked out now.
There will be vegetarian and kosher options. The restaurant accepts debit, credit card or cash, no checks.
Selection,
quality and price will all be very good, there are a number of restaurants, fast
food places, and convenience stores in the area, but it’s unlikely you will
feel a need to visit them.
The
restaurant has a full bar, those of legal age can order drinks, they can be
consumed anywhere inside the Lodge, but may not be taken outside. Everyone
ordering at the bar will be age verified, if you want a drink, bring current
ID. There will be a minors only
ordering area, for soft drinks etc.
Due
to Health Department regulations, no outside food or drink may be brought into
the Lodge. There is a large outside
patio, with comfortable seating and good cover, outside food and drink may be
consumed there.
There
is plentiful parking in the lot and surrounding area, overflow-parking area is
directly across 9th St..
During peak parking times it may be necessary to unload near the door
and park across 9th. Lock
your vehicles and keep valuables on your person or in your trunk, don’t leave
valuables visible on seats. While there
will be security patrols, neither the convention nor the staff are responsible
for your vehicle or possessions.
The JaGC Game Library will be available; games may be borrowed by leaving some ID with the Librarian(s). Donations to the Library are appreciated and encouraged.
Bring your unwanted games and gaming related items to the Auction Table, a percentage of the going price goes to help fund the convention.
