Play time is a fun time.  It is an important time for socializing.  I rub their heads, wings, feet and the entire body.  They learn hands bring pleasure.

They enjoy munching on cheerios.  As they get older I offer soaked pellets and sometimes dried fruit.

Learning to pick up a toy and keep their balance isn't always as easy as it may look.  This is another important step in their development.  Learning to perch is another skill they begin to learn.

When I take them out of their tub, I use the saying "step up" even though they are still standing flat footed in my hand.  I feel in this way, when they are old enough to "step up" and perch on my finger, they are familiar with the term "set up" .
