The "JUDSON" (STOVER K)

This, (pictures below) is how I received the Judson from Mr. Harry Squires of British Columbia, Canada, on February 20, 1999. Harry (a retired machinist) had acquired the Judson from the late James (Jim) Matheson of Hamiota, Manitoba in July of 1994, whose parents homesteaded in the Hamiota, Manitoba Canada  area back in the early part of the 1900's. Hamiota is approximately 125 mile west of Winnipeg and 30 mile north of the Trans-Canada Hwy.

Over the last 5 years he had renovated many parts and built new pieces from scratch. My thanks go
to both Harry, for selling me the engine, and to Denis  Rouleau, from Gatineau, Quebec, Canada for
          connecting me up with Harry.
The serial number is K65153. Which according to some of our respected SEL members would put the year of manufacture 1914! Judsons were assembled, and made? from Stover parts in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. This model is rated as 1 1/2 horsepower.

  • These are the parts, they are kind of hard to see in the thumbnail, but are easier to identify in the full sized view. The gas tank is shot and will need to be replaced.

The "Creamer Pulley" is damaged and needs repair. Harry found a new or different head and had new valves made seats installed.
This will prove to be a fun and interesting project. I will be looking and asking for lots
of help from the dedicated "Old Iron" professionals from the  ATIS list!!
