About the Gardens

The Cleveland Cultural Gardens are located along MLK Boulevard in an area known as the Rockefeller Park, between University Circle and Lake Erie, in Cleveland, Ohio. It is a string of over twenty gardens dedicated to various ethnic groups representing the American fabric.

About the Czech Garden

The Czech garden is located on East Boulevard, just south of St. Clair.

The garden was completed in 1935. It is circular in design, and is decorated with statues of historic figures. All statues were made by Frank Jirouch, a Cleveland born sculptor of Czech descent. The gardens are a part of Cleveland park system. Each garden is further supported by a respective organization such as the Czech Cultural Garden Association.

The Czech Cultural Garden Association

The Association represents Cleveland Czech community at the Cleveland Cultural Garden Federation, an umbrella organization for all the gardens. The Association arranges for maintenance of the Czech Garden and plans events there. The association can be reached at this e-mail: paulb54@centurytel.net
