An almost "Chinese Lantern-like Sunset" with Green Flash
The Santa Monica mountains silhouette in this photograph
taken from part way up Mt. Wilson in Los Angeles County, California.
High pressure "Santa Ana" conditions prevailed: dry, little breeze, and few clouds.
I remember seeing a stronger green flash effect through the viewfinder of my camera.
When I review my Ektachrome 64 slides I can see some true green color in
two of the images shown in the sequence below. My memory is of
stronger green color than is recorded on my slides. This reminds me that there is not only
a physical effect but also a physiological component to witnessing a Green Flash.
