Slinky is a Rhodesian
Ridgeback. This sight hound breed is defined by the ridge, a strip of hair
on the spine growing backward from two whorls at the shoulders (see Below).

Ridgebacks originated
in Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe), hence the name. Sometimes called "Lion
Hounds," they were all-purpose farm and ranch dogs. The dogs with
ridges were most successful in hunting large game, so the Afrikaners bred
for that character from a mix of native and European breeds.
She loves to ride in the truck !
She likes to run on dog beach but seldom wants to get more than her feet wet.
